Seremban old city center was developed since British era and previously known as Sungei Ujong before 1899s. Since then, Seremban old town city has unique multicultural and religious. This uniqueness gives vital character to this old town where the old settlement of Malay, Chinese and Indian still exist and doing their local activities. On the other hand, Seremban Municipal Council Hall has initiated Heritage Trail of Seremban in order to promote the old town of Seremban. However, the richness of the local cultural not being celebrates, preserved and appreciated by the local people and visitors such as old buildings been abandoned and unmaintained, old streets dominated by the vehicular not humans etc. Hence, this might have affected the identity of Seremban itself. By promoting our cultural and arts, it is not only keeps our tradition alive, but also helps increase tourism revenue. Therefore, the project aims to proposed an Art & Culture Performance Centre as a place to educate, celebrates and perform the richness of art and cultural in Seremban and Negeri Sembilan. This centre also serves as a gathering place where local people and visitors can discover and experience themselves the uniqueness of traditions, art and cultural.

Every city has back lanes, which are required by law as a component of traffic circulation. Due to its lack of maintenance, back lanes have become forgotten public spaces since back lanes are intended as service roads. Due to the laneway being hidden from public view, pedestrian movement is discouraged since it is unsafe. There is often a negative stereotype associated with the back lane, such as being annoying, disgusting, and narrow (Wan Ismail & Ching, 2016). Based on the Kuala Lumpur Tourism Master Plan 2015-2025, which stresses the revival of forgotten spaces. However, in any urban design, in accordance with local regulations, back lanes are mandatory. In order to prevent traffic congestion, back lanes must be inserted between rows of houses or shops. As well as being an essential, they are also used as a yard for servicing.
